TOUR ITINERARY

1. Welcome and Briefing

8.30 am
We meet in the lounge of The Shelbourne Hotel where you will be introduced to your fellow guests. Over morning coffee, we introduce you to your day ahead to experience Ireland’s Ancient East. After coffee, we depart Dublin for a relaxed executive coach drive through to Cashel.

2. The Rock of Cashel 

11.30 am
The iconic Rock of Cashel, described by Rick Steves as a thought-provoking early Christian site crowning the Plain of Tipperary. 

3. A Private Tour of  The Rock of Cashel 

11.30 am
Follow in the footsteps of the Queen and Prince Philip, hear the stories of this ancient fortification, where St. Patrick is reputed to have converted the Kings of Munster to Christianity.

4. Private dining at a local Tipperary restaurant 

1.30pm
We adjourn for a  lunch  at a private dining room at a local restaurant. It’s time to reflect on  morning and wonder about your afternoon experience.

5. Arrival at the estate

2.30 pm
After lunch, you make the short journey to this Tipperary Georgian home.

6. The House Tour

Hear the family stories from your host; a family that has lived here since 1703. Listen to the stories behind the family portraits of famous military men, renowned engineers and the women who left their mark.

7. Explore the Gardens

Could this be the longest hazel arch in Ireland? Again, there are so many questions to be asked. These gardens have stories too.

8. Be immersed in this wonderful estate.  

Imagine the questions you’re going to ask, satisfying your curiosity and the memories you’ll take away.

9. Time for Tea 

You arrived as a guest; now you’re a new friend. Over afternoon tea, convivial conversations continue, connections are made and memories are forged. And, then, it’s time to say goodbye, depart and arrive back in central Dublin in the early evening.
