HALF-DAY EXPERIENCE

This 600 year old riverside tower is a true fusion of medieval and modern life. Explore it’s unique charm, through lush gardens, river walks and stunning tower views and hear firsthand the tales of its refurbishment from an old ruin.

LOCATION

This venue is located in Ireland’s South East, close to Waterford city. Please talk to us if you would like to discuss how to best integrate into to your travel plans.

DETAILS

We recommend groups with a minimum of 6 and maximum of 10 guests to preserve the intimacy and dynamic of every experience.

MOBILITY & VENUE CONSIDERATIONS

  • Good mobility is required as this castle features a steep spiral staircase.
  • Photography at the host’s home will only be allowed in certain areas.

SAMPLE HALF-DAY ITINERARY

1. WELCOME & BRIEFING

In Cashel, meet your tour director and fellow guests over tea/coffee and a briefing by your tour director . After our briefing, we travel in convoy for the 30 minutes drive to the manor estate. Note: For guests who arrive in Cashel earlier in the day, we strongly recommend a visit to the Rock of Cashel – allow at least one hour for your visit.

2. ARRIVAL AT THE ESTATE

On arrival, you will be greeted by the current owners who are our hosts for the afternoon.

“What I learned was that while we were having tea within at a 15th century castle, we were actually in a home. Afternoon tea was, well, an Irish afternoon tea that can last a couple of hours due to an energetic conversation. It was truly a highlight of my visit to Ireland.”
